COMICS INDUSTRY :: Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman, and Dan Clowes on The Simpsons!
Holy star-studding, Batman! Ken Tucker at Entertainment Weekly writes here about the October 7th episode of The Simpsons, which will take place at a giant comic book convention and feature the voices of Jack Black, Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman, and Dan Clowes. I read about it on the excellent Fantagraphics blog, aptly named FLOG!

My excitement for this particular episode knows no bounds.
Will portions of the episode take place in Alan Moore's magic cave?
I think that the more important question is whether or not Alan Moore will talk to his sock puppet god?
Who is Alan Moore?
I wish I had a magician's cave underneath my house.
Alsn Moore's beard o' doom = Worst. Superpower. Ever.

Doug, "Who is Alan Moore?" you ask? Why, he's the mind behind such groundbreaking films as "From Hell," "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (or "LXG," if you prefer), and the upcoming Watchmen!
I heard he writes comics, too.
He did "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?" I love that movie!
This would be great news if The Simpsons hadn't stopped being funny like 7 years ago.
Always the hater. Where's the love, Daniel? World-weary cynicism at 19 years old is, well, boring. Personally, I think you'd be better served by optimism, which is always an invigorating addition to any conversation, even one as dumb as this.
I'm being super serial though! I can't wait to hear Alan Moore's brilliant voice work and then watch as he threatens legal action to get his name removed from the credits.

As Todd would say in Rob McAlister's impression of him, "Oh, ZING!"
But really, The Simpsons Movie was pretty funny.
