Dondi Vol 1?!?!?! SWEeEeEeT! I'm gonna be broke FOREVER!
Let's hope Mr Hasen is well enough to be at HeroesCon next year so he can sign our copies...
But when is someone going to collect Alley Oop, the time traveling caveman?
Ahem.. OK you asked...
Available:
Alley Oop Book 4 from Manuscript Press. This is from 1949 (The series height)They follow the three Kitchen Sink Volumes 1946-49.
Earlier and later than those 4 issues are available from Spec Productions.
Go to their web site. The issues are app. $16.00 each.
WARNING: Oop is undoubtedly the most underated comic strip EVER. Once you start reading it you are hooked.
If I ever won the lottery, I would publish the Alley Oop Sunday pages (seperate continuity and/or short adventure gag strips) in their original size. Hamlin--aside from being a clever story teller was a great big foot artist who deserves to be spoken of in the same breath as Segar, Sterrett, Kent and Kelly
If you want to enjoy some of the pre-Time Machine stories-- good old fashion caveman adventures, check out Comics Revue from issue 94 to the Present.
Heroes has about the last 15 issues in stock at the store.
What are you waiting for? Go buy one, you can either thank me later or jump me (when the comic strip jones I helped enable prevent you from affording college for your kids!)
