Big news this week: while there are individual room nights still available at both, it looks like we've effectively sold out both the Hilton Charlotte Center City AND the Westin Charlotte! What? Seriously? Oh yes--fortunately Shelton has been casting his net farther and farther out, as we could see from pretty much the first day we announced our HeroesCon rates at those two hotels that the rooms were going WAY faster than normal.
So Shelton has signed contracts with TWO more hotels: the Hilton Garden Inn Uptown, and the Hampton Inn! Both are just two blocks east of the Convention Center, and both are providing us with $99/night rooms! So if you've been hanging onto some overpriced room reservations because you couldn't find anything better, ditch em and call:
HAMPTON INN: CHARLOTTE UPTOWN
1.800-HAMPTON
or
HILTON GARDEN INN
1.877.STAY.HGI
BE SURE TO SAY THAT YOU WANT THE "HEROESCON RATE". There's a good chance that the rate won't go "live" until Monday, so try back then if it's not working yet. And as before, if you have any problems, please feel free to comment below--Shelton and I both will be monitoring this post closely, and will try to address any problems as quickly as possible! Remember to be polite!

Great price on the other hotels. We just got back from the NISOD Convention in Austin, Texas and our stay at the Hampton was exceptional, including the free breakfast, with real food, not just corn flakes.
You know, I haven't stayed in the Hampton before, but I know in year's past when we've used the Hilton (Center City) there was this big breakfast bar in the morning, which is GREAT! If you don't eat before you hit the convention floor (especially if you're on the staff), you might not get a chance until late in the afternoon, and then it's someone else's cold fries.
We live for FUEL Pizza. A couple years ago we even brought one back to our friends at Apocalypse Comics after they gave us some great deals on back issues. Charlotte's BBQ can't be beat, especially at South End Brewery and Rock Bottom Brewery. It's 5:30 in the morning and I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Chris, you guys should think about hitting the new Light Rail line this year and riding down to South End for Mac's BBQ. While my BBQ-phile friends tell me there are some better hole-in-the-wall type places around, Mac's is about the best big-budget BBQ you're gonna get--and being on the light rail, you can get on the train right outside of the convention center and it's maybe a mile or so away.
Actually you need to ask for the "Heroes Aren't Hard To Find" rate, NOT "HeroesCon Rate"
That's lame--we'll see if we can get that fixed. Which hotel do you mean?
