HEROESCON :: Mark Waid, Eric Powell, & Chris DiBari Join Guest List!

In the first of several big HeroesCon 08 Guest List announcements over the next few weeks, relating to our recent trip to Baltimore, we're stoked to announce the addition of Mark Waid, Eric Powell, and Chris DiBari to the guest list! Mark Waid you may--just may--know from his decades of work on all sides of the comic book industry, including writing the recent Brave And The Bold relaunch, incredibly popular runs on Fantastic Four and The Flash, and currently as Editor-In-Chief of Boom! Studios. This is, of course, the barest tip of the iceberg of Mark's work, but there you go.
Eric Powell is of course the writer/artist behind the hit "Goon" comic from Dark Horse, and will be making his, er, third trip to HeroesCon this year? If you haven't met him, he comes off all quiet and stuff at first, then BAM! out comes the funny. Don't be fooled! Also returning to HeroesCon this year is Chris DiBari, the artist behind Starship Troopers and The Hunger. I know this is exciting and everything, but remember: this is only the start--you need to pace yourself, because we'll be making another couple of announcements next week, so don't wear yourself out!

Mark Waid - that's awesome! Very excited about this one. You're right, Dustin...he's written a lot of characters over the years! It's like he's written a...a LEGION of super-heroes!

...Get it? Haw!

Psyched about Mark Waid. Though the chances of me spending an afternoon of the con standing in line to get something signed by him is pretty slim.

You probably won't have to, Rich--Mark is enormously approachable, and a huge comic book fan. It's just as easy to find him at a dealer's booth shopping as at his table, and he's a cool dude, too. If you can't meet Mark Waid at a comic book convention, then you have some serious social phobia issues.
